I beat it on heroic with 3 friends in under 3 hours. I don't know how you'd do it by yourself on legendary in under 3 hours though.

Anyways, did anyone notice towards the end of the huge flood level on high charity, the graphics start looking like a comic book? It is so bad that my friend thought that it was going to be the comic that Bungie released a while back with the African man looking at the big "machines", however it then turned into gameplay. MC and the Arbiter where the only things that looked "real".

Yea im kinda sad, i spent 2-3 hours playing last night and was quite satisfied, got to the 8th level, and then was surfin about info online only to find out theres only 10 levels and ive already almost beaten the game, this made me very sad... Another strong point... im on the 8th level and i dont feel like theres even really been a story line yet.... nothings happened... nothings intresting... i gotta say im kinda disapointed. Although the replay value and the online experience deffinaletly makes it a worth while game, im kinda sad to see they skimped on the story and made it in my opinion way way too short for the "last game" :'(

P.S. As for speculation about if this will be the last, ill point out on bungie.net there highering people and one of the responsibilitys is learning the game engine o.o can anyone say halo 4

I find the campaign to be pretty fun, even on my own.

Anyways, has anyone found any of those terminal things? I just found one on The Ark. What do they do?

There's 7 in total I believe, you get the Marathon Man achievement from it (no permutation though, unless that marks 250 or 1000 points total for you, in which case you'll get the Security shoulders or head respectively).

Locations by level, courtesy of some dude on GameFAQs (I put it in a .txt...so I don't have the author's name or topic link).

The Ark:

1. Start the mission and once you enter the first building take a left into another door and now you should be in a curved corridor. On the inside is a Terminal.
2. After activating the bridge to let your comrades accross the gap, do a 180 and you should see it. *it does not open until you activate the bridge*
3. In the third building after defeating the scarab, kill the group of sleeping covenent, then follow the corridor downwards. Once you reach a door in front that is locked, immediately on the left there's an open door. Go through and walk straight off, then do a 180 to find a secret room. It is in there.

The Covenant:

1. When in the first tower standing on the lift, face the access panel and turn left. Jump over and it's right there.
2. Land your hornet on the second tower, walk towards the entrance but when you see the locked door, do a 180. Should be right in front of you.
3. When in the third tower standing on the lift, face the access panel and turn right. Jump over and it's right there.

Halo:

1. After reaching the end of the first cave, hug the right wall and you will see a building. Jump up onto the walkway and hang a left once inside. It's right there.

The Cortana and Gravemind talking in the levels got annoying in addition to another, crappy campaign.

They already said this is the last installment in the halo series. Those positions that are available have been open for a while... However, they do plan on creating additional games based in the halo universe, I'm guessing a different perspective, which sounds very interesting.

Not true, they said this will be the last halo following the story of the arc, now say the covenant were pissed about u stopping it and started a war afterwords it would be a new story, and could very easily have a Halo 4.
Don't be.

Does everyone just run by enemies? It took me and my friend at least 6 hours to beat the whole thing on Heroic. We killed nearly every enemy.

Because the same game engine means the exact same game and setting. Yeah.

I personally would be sick of a new Halo, and wouldn't buy it or want to even play it, since it goes against what Bungie has said, and Microsoft knows that people would be tired of it. It probably wouldn't make as much money as this Halo game.

And similar game engine doesn't even have to equate to a similar game...sure, it'd probably be a first person shooter, but that doesn't mean it'll be Halo. Or even Marathon. There could be ORIGINAL CONTENT. Shocking, I know.

I loved it.
I thought it ended beautifully. I would post why, but I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't played it. I loved how it had elements from Halo 1 and Halo 2 mixed together in it.
