I don't think that he understands that it is more of a base, rather a vehicle.
True, you can drive it and it has a turret. But, it is mainly used as respawn points, which there are none of in campaign.
Campaign is not a base to base gametype. Campaign isn't capture the flag or oddball. Campaign is the specified mission, which has a 98% chance of not being "move out of your base and attack the brutes base". I realize I could be wrong, and that there could indeed be a mission like that, but I highly doubt it.
Sure, it could be in campaign, but it, like Tural said, serves virtually no purpose. It's features are for elements not in campaign.

I'm sure that somewhere in Halo 3 Campaign theres this scenario.
You have to break into a heavily guarded base full of Brute Choppers, Wraiths, Turrets, etc. and you have two elephants, a brute chopper, a troop hog and a regular hog, possibly mongoose.
Now you need to bring At least 10-15 troops into that base or your dead for sure. So off course your use those elephants, along with some vehicles so you can pick off enemy's on your way into the base.
See its a possibility that the Elephant is gonna be used in campaign, its just not known at this point in time.
Glad I could help.

There was no debating going on... just suggestions from both sides leading to the same conclusion.bibbit wrote:Alright guys, no need for a heated debate. I could see this easily turning into a flame war. My personal opinion is that Tural has more evidence on his side, but who knows, maybe it's in, maybe it's not. Please, let's just turn down the heat and move on.
Tural has no more evidence than any other member of the public, don't suck up.

Tural wrote:Here are some size comparisons. I quickly made an Elephant to use for size reference. The model isn't very accurate, seeing as how there aren't any decent images of it. However, the scale is accurate enough that it gives a fairly correct idea of the size. The open area, the bay, whatever, isn't as deep as it should be, because EGM doesn't have images showing it very well. I think it's an exaggeration that you can fit a Scorpion inside. I suppose you could, but it would be a very tight fit.

i just read this whole topic and i have to say i liked the idea of boats thought about it and said nvm thats dumb, the helicopter could become reality if it was closer to the wasp not just a normal helicopter. having some sort of jet pack like the elites would also be cool but it would need a limit to it so you can't just fly around forever the turret on the wraith is a good idea but will bungie leave the mtb scorpion tank alone since you can control both the chain gun and main turret or add another seat for people. another thing did they bring back the side seat for it? maybe it would be better to have a rocket guy be able to ride with you but since the transport hog is out i guess its not needed. i could easily see the elephant in mp with it being operated by either user or ai. in campaign mehh possibility maybe but to think bungie would put a mission where you are limited to staying in the elephant for part of the game doesn't boat well but who knows there were 2 gondola missions in h2 for the Sacred Icon and Delta Halo so maybe being limited to staying on a elephant isn't a bad thing or maybe to start a mission your elephant got shoot to hell now you have to take your mongoose and warty's and meet with Miranda

well i know alot of people were like i wish there was a pelican lvl where you had to fly around i thought that would be retarded the mc doesn't need to fly he is so bad ass he can go on foot and destroy the opposition plus flying for a whole lvl very boring on BF2 i let the other guys fly not me im the one who jumps out and lands on enemy flags
any way if they had a new aerial vehicle which i bet they will seeing as how the covenant have 1 vehicle over us aka banshee then the unsc needs one equivalent to it
