1. Nobody played the maps early. Louis Wu laughed this off, as did others who were mentioned.

2. January it's not. Halo Wars releases February 27th in the UK and March 3rd in the United States. The $80 Halo Wars Collector's Edition has a time-exclusive on the first part of the Mythic Map Pack (Assembly, Orbital, Sandbox), which will release later on, on the marketplace. The remaining 3 maps will release with Halo 3: Recon in Fall 2009. That will also mark the end of new Halo 3 content, according to Bungie.

I don't see why Bungie would end new content; it's what fuels at least part of the Halo 3 community.

no he's right mythic mappack is next jan-feb. Now halo 3 ODST on the other hand is to be released later

And Heretic, wow i loved midship with a passion, in fact i still play h2 on live for just that map, and well lockout, so i am really happy with heretic.

Longshore sounds a lot like a Halo CE map I played.
I think the name was "Remorse."
But anyway, I should have some M$ points by then, so I'm happy.

We saw Assembly at PAX 2008, when will we get more downloadable content for Halo 3?

The Mythic Map Pack will be made available via Xbox Live Marketplace in early 2009. “Winter,” as they say. As soon as we have more details we will certainly share them.

And I live in Florida so how I see winter is two or three weeks of December, that's it. So I would not think of Feb. as being winter.

In the new shot of Orbital, there are computer screens up top. Interesting, but his descriptions were pretty vague. Still not buying it until we get more pics, which should be sometime this week according to the weekly update.

i hope so lol that would be funny if Bungie was like meh here you go no pics no descriptions but were Bungie so you know its freaking awesome.
