Extract Models

I know I am asking an obvious question to some, and I know it has been asked here before, but I have read through all the threads I could find on the search about this, and none of them answered my questions to my satisfaction.

I am having some real problems extracting character models into gmax, and it has caused me no shortage of frustrations. I installed Geurilla, Gravemind, Mr. Mohawk and H2v but none of them have a biped extract option, at least not that I could find.

So, could anyone give me some advice on how to extract these models, and how I can find the conversions for the files (I don't think gmax supports the models, afaik h2 uses a different model format and I might need to download a new editor) if possible. Or if that is too much trouble, a link to a download of the models will suffice, as those are all that I am looking for atm. (I downloaded one that only has .obj and .mtl files, neither of which are supported and for the .mtl I can't find any conversions for at all)

Any would would be greatly appreciated.

Halo 2 Vista, at this time, does not have any tools for extracting ANYTHING. This includes tags, models, animations, the like.

Reason why is this game is unsupported, and no one really liked it. The game was fully graphic intensive, meaning it horded the RAM and Graphics Cards, so the game would lag badly. Generally this is a bad option for many new players, as when they saw Halo 2 Vista on XP, it ran faster and smoother, compared to the regular version. (On vista)

In any case, to answer your question...No. No one has made a tool AS OF THIS DATE, 12/27/08 to extract any tags.

Sorry. :(

Ah, well, that still takes a load of stress off me, I can stop looking now! A little disappointing, but, meh. At least I can uninstall the xp version and free up some space now.

Thanks.

Actually, I can extract Bitmaps, as well as inject, Sounds, and for the most part, Models. I just need to fix face extraction and it will be complete.

I plan on releasing a version of Gravemind with these capabilities as soon as I fix some things like Tag Building. For some reason it makes the game crash when loading, and I have shifted everything needed properly. So I really don't know whats holding it back. I am currently looking into the problem but with little success.

If you would like to help just hit me up on AIM.

Kornman is talking about the program he made to extract tags from Halo 2 PC. It's name was Guerilla Radio.

I think there was some GDX or something exporter that exported it so you could render in 3DS Max, or maybe that was Halo CE :?

You could use ADI to extract models (search ADI v2.0.1 on google and you'll most likely find it)
