HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

i downloaded a map and put it in the location:
c:/users/ "user" /documents/my games/halo2/maps

i started up halo 2 and went to play it but it wasnt in the custom map location....or was it in the normal map list. i even tried it with other maps but it still didnt show up

so do i have to install something to run costom maps? or is there something i have to activate in halo 2 or is custom maps only playable on live?

Holy crap. please do a search before you make a thread. this question has been answered about 1000 times on every forum.

Don't get mad i'm just letting you know. Anyways all you have to do is put the map in the correct folder and when selecting the map you have to scroll over to custom maps.

Some maps will not work because they were made for an earlier update of halo so they would have to be recompiled with the updated version. So if your having trouble with a map ask the creator to update it. Or it's just user error.

thanks for the info on the update....i didnt know about it so my game was still un updated. so it works now
