Halo 2 does indeed have issues with the bloom system.

Make sure you have up-to-date video card drivers. I'm sure you can find something at laptopvideo2go.com (think that was the URL).

i dont think halo 2 vista works that well on a 2.2gz laptop with a unkown video card but for some reason my unkown video card works great with half-life2

your integrated video card doe's not even meet h2v's minimum requirements.
That would be why you are having issues.

On the top you posted your graphics card is an 8600 gs? How does that not meet the minimum requirements? check again people.

I have basicly the same laptop besides i have the geforce 8600 gt and i can play halo 2 at the fullest settings with not even a hint of lag. But i was suprised that someone was having the same problems with flashing. It does not flash bad in game besides the emblum on the arm but never the less it plays superb.

My laptop supports vista though so thats not the problem. Its an Asus gaming version laptop and it came with vista from the manufacturer. I even updated to the latest bios and graphics card drivers. No errors or problems detected in Dxdiag. And the flashing causes no glitches or lag.

I'm gonna do some more research on this. I'll let you know what i come up with jackson.

if you had read my previous comment the problem is a issue with halo2's bloom system it was also in halo 2 xbox.

I'm not looking for the problem, i already know that, i'm looking for a solution. In my opinion the geforce 8600 gt should have no problems like this.

There is no solution if the original xbox had the issue and the h2v still has it then there are no solutions.

I do not have the problem on my other computer. Maybe we're not talking about the same thing. My graphics card in my other computer is an ati 1950 pro x2 on crossfire.

I'm gonna call Dr. Who on you.
