Alright, I'm new in the Halo 2 map editing for Vista. And I am really excited to jump on in and build maps. I have plenty of ideas, a decent amount of skill, but not much knowledge when it comes to H2 vista. So if you could all bear with me, and help me out, that would be excellent.
Alright here is a basic outline of my questions:
1.) How do you do level animation such as guilty spark floating around, or pelicans flying overhead, or water rippling. Do I just animate it in 3ds max? If so with what settings?
2.) Alright, I've seen posts on how to name maps. But I tried it, and it didn't work. I saved it in unicode, and had it setup as [strings] name= "dfkaljdfkld" description= "kldajfld". I then compiled it. And when I packaged my map, it was simply halo 2 level.
3.) Where are the tags for things like fusion cores, teleporters, and pelicans. I want to have some parked pelicans in a map.
4.) Can somebody give me the links to a tutorial for making teleporters, I have tried messing around with them, but I have never gotten them to work correctly.
Phwew. Glad I got all that off my chest.
I think thats everything (i'm probably forgetting something.)

#2 Too add the map name, open up your .scenario in Guerilla, scroll down to Level Data, and the first option will allow you to browse for your Level Data name file.
#3 Look under the objects folder for a few of these. Can't help you on the pelicans, sorry.
#4 To make teleporters work, you have to use the identifier. You can name them with team names, just for easily identifing. Under the tag, in Sapien of Guerilla, theres a box called Identifier. The default is 0. Change it to different numbers for more teles. This is what the game uses to link teles together.
