Where is the map editor? does it come with the disk or does it come separately? I'm thinking of getting the game but I would really like to know more about it.
I've been gone awhile and this H2V topic is new to me, if I'm in the wrong section, please tell me

It comes with the disc. Just put the disc in and somewhere it should say that you can install the map editor.

An editor and creator are two different things. The map creator they gave you comes crippled so you can only creates certain things the way you want. An editor allows you to edit map files that are already built, and usually is only limited by our knowledge of the map file and the plugins.

But your assembling pre-made , disassembled tags of the game, and only adding some. To me, that is editing.

And it's called "Halo 2 Map Editor" and not map creator.

I wouldn't call that a complete editing kit... You can edit only a few of the tags, you can't edit weap and some other important gameplay tags without hacking it.

Looks like Halo 2 Map Editor to me.

I consider programs like HMT, Dothalo, Entity, ADI a map editor, you edit actual map files. The Halo 2 Vista "Map Editor" has a tag editor and map compiler, that's not editing a map, that's editing tags and creating a map.

Well I was just pointing out that it is not called map creator and that it is called a map editor. Just because you think it is a map creator doesn't change the name.

OMFG guys bungie's retarded so they called it an editor. Can we PLEASE leave it at that?
