HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

To start things off: My copy of Halo 2 is legal, and I am running it on Vista.

Problem: Every time I play the last level. Then kill Tartaurus, the game shows the correct cinematic but at the end of that cinematic it seems like it freezes for a second. Then it goes to credits. The main problem is it won't unlock the achievment for beating the game, or that one level. I have tried replaying the level countless times. Disc, and no disc. Still nothing.

I was just wanted to know if anyone else was experiencing this. I think it's just a minor problem. It will probably be fixed in a patch, but I was wondering if anyone found a solution.

Is that the only problem you've gotten throughout the game? (Or have you had more problems that could imply a problem with the disc or install?)

It's the only problem I've encountered throughout the whole game. It's strange. My computer meets above the requirements and everything was fine. It's just that one second in between the cutscene and credits.

you only get the achievemant on Normal, Heroic, or legendary

I'm playing on Legendary. I've also tried deleting the credits video, and playing on a different difficulty. I still get the same pause, and no achievement.

try the halo2vista forums, they might know something... I haven't played campaign yet, I guess i never got around to it...

had the same problem, the thing that I was doing wrong was getting impacient and giving up during the credits, however to get the acheivement you must sit through the credits and the cinimatic after them. if this doesn't work then i don't know what to say.

Do you have an account with xbox live? If so the game froze up on me once and kicked me out, not the same thing but if i were you i'd reinstall the game saving all your savegame files.

What does that have to do with this issue?

you cant get achievments without an xbox live account. maybe that is part of the problem

He made it pretty clear that it was only this achievement he couldn't get. It's very obvious that he can get the others.
