moding Questions

Well, I was wanting to start on moding but dont have any clue how to mod with the map editor and was wandering if someone could help me out, also i was wandering if halo 2 ce for computer was out yet because I really wanted to get it but ya if you guys could help me get started on how to mod tha would be great, thanks.
