Since Directx 10 comes with Windows Vista will you still have to buy a DX10 based video card (which isnt out yet) or can I use my Geforce 6800 Ultra?

I think in nvidia's homepage, it said that the 7800's will support the new vista
or maybe its the GT

It is far too early to be asking questions like this, as bungie just simply announced that it exists, and that it will be coming out for Vista, nothing else.

microsoft said vista will be released by the end ok 2k6
but you may have to buy a new graphics card because if halo 2 pc needs dx10 than most graphics card (if not all) wont support dx10
so you thinkning like atleast $500 for halo2 pc if u need a new graphics and depending on the vista cost i think it will b about $400

I'm thinkign that once Vista comes out, it'll be a screw up like lots of the OS when they first came out...but maybe MS will be smart this time and NOT just test it on their own computers

well they had 5 years to work on this i sure hope its not a screw up
and they probally will only test it on there computers but their test computers run different hardware that meets the requirements
but windows xp has tons of driver problems i dont think it supports my prosseser lol

kinda answered your own question. If they dont make one thats off of DX10, Yet you wonder if yours could, wouldnt that mean that you would need one that could Handle DX10?

You can use it, but only in DX9 mode... for the new games that come out that will require DX10, you will have to get a new card.

				Well then lets see.
200$ on a new card
200$ on vista (maybe)
and 50$ on Halo 2 PC.
I'm not gonna be paying that much for Halo 2 PC unless im really desperate or I got alot of extra money in my pocket.

Dumbass, Halo 2 IS NOT THE ONLY THING VISTA DOES! I hate the obnoxious people who keep saying that you wont buy it just to play H2
