If you look at Foundation's description you'll see the name of a fictionnal company divided in 5 words. Each of those words are capitalized, put together those letters make the word "TARDS".

I think it was intended. And "TARDS" is a word nonetheless, it's an abreviation for the word "retards".

Heh, I doubt it's an easter egg, but it's funny.

I bet it cost a lot of money.
In which case a better name would have been:
Really Expensive Tactical Autonomous Robotic Defense System
RETARDS
