Qeustion about tricks

I notice for a lot of tricks it says you can't be the host but if your playing regular multiplayer with three other people that have the controllers attached to your xbox does that mean that they are all also the hosts? Or is only player 1 the host or something else?

Also I remember someone saying something about a fake 1.1 patch that you can use to still play the map pack levels but not have glitches taken away but ever time I search for it it comes up with the halo 2 fanfic thing so was it locked/deleted for Xbox-scene or did I imagine it?

It's not the player. It's the Xbox that is the host so annyone connected into the xbox will be host.
