ok wen i download an offset list and try 2 open it wit word or notepad or stuff like that all it comes up wit is a buncha symbols how do i read it??

i can't seem to be able to use the list either

open it with microsoft word or internet explorer.

I downloaded the offsets list but cannot open it with explorer. When i try to open it with word it is a bunch of symbols that i can't read. How can i get the offsets list? If someone could email me a list that would be great.

Did you even unpack it yet? It's a rar file. You need WINRAR to unpack all the files, I dont have to link for the program, but just search it using www.google.com Once you have this program you will be able to open the file and inside it will be a bunch of HTML files containing the list of offsets for each available leve.

u can get use out of this"big list of stuff" with a hex editing program

Ah. I spend half an hour combing the silt of the Internet looking for something like this and THEN I think to look here. Well, it's good to know that a copy of this valuable resource is still available.

Does anybody know what Antenna refers to in the list? I'm assuming it doesn't refer to a tiny little radio receiver on the hood of my hog...

after i change the value with hex heditor am i supposed to save it or something. becuz i just hit regulare save not save as and then i go and play halo but blood gulch isnt lit up like the other map names and i cant click on it to play it can someone help me?

U have to close down the program u r editing it with first. Now i am i big noob to this stuff but which do u use Offset , Value, Meta, or Ident in hmt3.5, all i do is replace it with one of the other offsets right? it worked once for me but with everything else i just get the gathering exception data error everytime.

what are offsets

I installed a hex editor and it deleted my install of .net f/w 1.1 i spent 2 hours downloading for nothing thanks to that stupis thing :'(
