I've seen a similar thing happen in a mod my friend made, im not sure if this is what happened to you, but it is possible to make warthogs drive by themselves. Turning the deceleration of the hog to 0 is a sure fire way to make it so that when someone gets out of the hog, the hog just keeps on going. What u saw was probably a mix of a mod like that, the difference between ur map and the modded map causing the hog to jump between where the two computers think it is, and lag.

lol, that kinda happened to me...i switched the warthog's physics with the ghost's physics and wen i played the game i couldnt drive the warthog! so i got in a ghost then i touched the warthog with the ghost then the warthog started floating up and started flying!!!! lol!!!!! when i got out of the ghost the warthog disappeared...scary stuff...

hmm, what you COULD do is make a map with bots in it, turn off there collsion model, model, sounds, everything ecept AI, and then put them in a ghost and they would shoot you without you seeing, hearing, whatever, it would be weird, but what youd have to do frist is make sure its the elite off AOTCR that acutally drives ghosts, like, moves, lol, i know this is cheap, but that'd be weird.
also, the name 'the gaurdians' is when a bot kills you, you musta had a suden lurch in you comp that moved the mouse or something, so the server thught that something else, not you or another person, killed you,

its no mod its a glitch it happened to me and [RX]-[R@g3] but with a banshee before rage joined my room i got the banshee in the tree by the blue base i could still hear it moving weird... Then rage joined and claimed that a banshee was following me and i had no idea what he was talking about.
He said it was right ontop of me and where i would move it would follow and when i got into a vechicle it dissapeared then when i got out it came back.
Rage made a video of it and it was freaky. the banshee was on the ground and it looked like someone was in it and he grenaded it and it wouldn't move if rage still has the video i'll tell him to post it.

yea...
my only idea of wut it could be was that host had a mod on...usually it glitches alot when modded thigns come near u and u don't have the mod. and plus it'd be easy to do sumthing liek that if people didn't have the mod...but i'd think EVERY1 in there would be seeing it...i durno that's kinda strange.

something like that happened to me also, one time i was on sidewinder and there was a machine gun hog and the gun was looking around and stuff and it shot a little and stopped. and i no it wasnt a person with active camo cause i could get in the gunner seat and controll it perfectly. it was really wierd. (i dont have a video of it so dont ask)

This has happened to me... except it was on Xbox in Longest. Me and my friends were playing and I killed him... of course lol but right before he died he did a melee attack. He was dead when it hit me and it killed me. It said Run Away was killed by the guardians. This happened twice, my guess is that my death was a dead person's punch.. not a weapon. In a modded version of bg, if anyone knows the one with the crazy models and the corona launcher, and when i shot the rocket warthog with the tank(a "corona") when it exploded, if the warthog landed on its wheels, when i moved forward in the tank the hog would go forward and the same backwards, but it wouldn't turn either way when i did it, oh and by the way i hosted it and there was nobody else in the game, weird.
