Grenade Launcher

Hey guys, i havent posted anything in a while so i thought i would mwke something new.

Well i worked all night on a few models, the others are a suprise, and this is the one im releasing first.

I have made 3rd person models on all three LOD's and Ive made a custom recticle [no big deal though].

Heres a vid of it in action: (Sorry i was playing music on my desktop)

The model itself looks good, but you should work he projectile. Right now it looks like all you did s swap it with a tank shell which is fie, but see if you slow it down and an arch to its trajectory.

yeah i agree with ragdoll slow the thing down add more arch like the fuel rod but a bit more. maybe watch some stuff from CoD 4 where they use the grenade launcher.

The front looks great, alot like a grenade launcher, but the back is unfinished (it looks like the default shotgun, and the slot is pretty small for grenades).

Finish the back, and the model can get a higher rating than my current one, 7/10.

The projectile is just something to go with the model. I dont want to make a full blown mod with it. and halos in the future so nades are small. I dont know. I modeled the shell so that its bigger. Youll see it when he reloads. The back i finished its just the handle that looks like the shotty. The is no butt. look at wireframes if you can get them. and ill try and fix the slot issue.

I understand but its called a grenade launcher, so you readily assume it will look like a grenade launcher. When I saw the back, I thought it didn't appear to be the back of a grenade launcher. As a generic model its fine, but when you imply that its a grenade launcher, thats when it starts to fall short in my opinion.

in the future they could have a nanobot blow up like a nuke why cant they have a shotgun pellet sized grenade? plus i believe there are grenades sized as shotgun shells. plus a dude pumped full of steroids can probably with stand the recoil of the grenade launch but w/e its a cool mod/model

Please dont criticize my every word. Have you ever watched the show Future Weapons on the Discovery Channel. Watch the episode with the rapid fire shotgun. They show the guy on the show a special round which deploys a charge similiar to a grenade. And if Im really lazy then how come im not always modeling or posting on this site. I barely do anymore. I visit the outside world a lot nowadays.

Its just a model that I thought looked like a grenade launcher. It can be whatever you want. But please dont find flaws in everything I do. Thank you.

I'm not pointing out your flaws. I must admit that I stumbled upon my words in the last post trying not to do see. I see I had the opposite result.

Anyway, to explain what I said, I don't think your lazy, that was a joke (hence the :P emoticon). Secondly, future weapons isn't necesarily realistic. By this I mean that most of the weapons/arms featured in the show are prototypes, and not all prototypes make it past that stage (especially in a country with such a bad economy nowadays). Also, its future weapons, and though they may imply it, we really cannot predict what weapons we will have in the future (back to the unpredictable economy point). Lastly, we're all entitled to our opinions. In my opinion, the slot looks like it was barely touched and is too small, in yours it looks like a grenade-sized hole.

I'm not trying to bring up an argument, rather a friendly debate. :)

Well remodeling is a very limited process as most parts on the models can stretch and get holes. Mainly animation spots. I have tried making the slot bigger but it screws up a lot of the gun. And i am going to release an update model that fixes a few unseen bugs. :[

good model, use the actual frag grenade, make it explode on impact, and give it a arch and then you will have a nice grenade launcher

@kount-dooku be quiet because i haven't seen you release anything good, TBH haven't seen you release anything at all. Remodeling is very limited in halo pc becuase you can only move verts. SO be quiet. So if you have a problem with what i said PM me and keep this topic on track.

Hey HiHeyHello, I tried just a simple meta swap but it doesnt work right. I adjusted settings in HMT and the result was perfect for the actual frag grenade that MC throws, but when shot out of the shotgun it just doesnt work. So i think ill probably need to duplicate the frag nade' tag and rebuild it so that they dont share the same settings.

hey ceberus0 ive been working on somethin for the grenade launcher if i get the shooting to work almost perfect ill show you
only thing i need to know is how to make the grenade blow up on impact. and how to have only one projectile instead of a buckshot effect

Getting rif of the buckshot effect is easy, you just turn down the spread and change the amount of projectiles fired to 0. But the explode on impact thing i got to work for the actual MC grenade but not the shotty nade. So yeah.

Model looks pretty good, make it actually shoot grenades with an arc.
