[model]New P90 with suppressor

Post by bigshot007 »

This gun is a mix between the assult rifle and p90. Its complety my model. I know there has been an other P90 or maybe two. But, I know nobody has made one with a suppressor, so here you go! I need a skin badly! It would make it a little better. Please give constructive criticism.

You swaped the 3rd person model with the 3rd person model?

This needs a skin. And a model. In other words, do it again and make it look more attractive.
For anybody still wondering where FTD has gone, here it is.

I can see what you were going for, but it doesn't look very good. Cool concept, bad initialization.

I put this post here for a reason. Not to hear people say, "thats terrible, thats horrible!" etc... I want good feedback. I want a good detail reason for why you dont like it. Help me by saying in detail what you would like better and how to make it better. Dont just say, "its to big" and not tell a way to fix it. When somebody puts a mod up they want either a positive or a very well explained negitive like the following:
Ombre wrote:I suggest you steer clear away from log mods. Try to start working on pmi, models, and skins. You also need to upload a .ppf if it isn't a rebuilt map.

au5t3n5 wrote:ah i like it, cept the scope is like in the dead center of the gun, imho i prefer otherwise

anyway, there is one problem: you need to fix the circular tube thing before the barrel, you can see it in the model, it also creates this bump thingy, if you look at the model flat in milkshape, youll see what i mean, its where the barrel of the gun attaches to the body of the gun

other than that, its perfecto
This quote is a good negitive.

If you going to say its bad, give me a way to fix it in detail. In other words, help, dont discourage. Show by action. This is not pointed out at anyone, I just see this everywhere I look. I dont want an argument started by any chance. I mean this for the good.

Keep this in mind before you say something.

things to consider for improvement

Post by au5t3n5 »

the model isnt too bad, ive seen worse, trust me

problems include:

-size! last time i checked, p90 is smallllll, like the end of the 90 should be at the end of his hand (like the part before the silencer)
-p90s are hard to model for a reason: the railmount bar thing on the top is much too hard to do a vertex moving remodel of: it looks like a lump, imho somewhat unattractive
- i guess keeping the ammo counter can be a plus, yet at the same time, it takes up room (adding size to the lump as i mentioned above); you have the ammo hud for checking ammo anyway, so i think its kinda unnecessary, perhaps consider for removal? (when you do, it will probably be easier to fix the railmount lump problem)

extra:
-get a skin, but perhaps you are like me and are totally freaked out by photoshop and its 209834934 buttons, so maybe get someone else to skin you, but i guess we are just talking about your model here, so this is kinda irrelevant, but just a though

i spose once you do those changes, fp could look prettier

edit: because of your p90 model, i was inspired to attempt to create my own =P i just posted it so take a peek at mine...youll get what i mean by the bar thing+size diff, though mine is still far from prefect...

How would I do this? Just push the verts where you cant see them?

Thanks for good feedback! See, I know what to fix!

um do you the view by sections in milkshape, and scale those parts to 0

you need to see it in the wireframe so you can see the sections highlighted in red; they will be the compass+ammo counter things
