Fixed!!! Antique looking banshee skin to fit dark maps.

Halo PC uploads. All posts must have pictures and a mod to download. Use PPF always, unless the map is rebuilt.

Fixed!!! Antique looking banshee skin to fit dark maps.

Post by bigshot007 »

This is a edit of the old skin. I fixed the skin!!! Without photoshop I would have never finished it. Thank photoshop. I gave a more antique looking skin. My metaphor for it is a shark/ whale, because in the sea, when you look up in the light, the under side blends in, same as top. I made the skin for a night time map or dark map. plus it looks a lot better than the old one.

i would not give that anything over a 5/10.
Reasons:
1. grainy
2. blotchy
3. bad color
4. not a good black

This looks pretty damn good. I don't know why other people say it looks "blotchy" because it looks pretty damn realistic to me. Even though it doesn't look too much like a wasp, it looks great with the red. I love it. 9/10

I think it looks really nice. The cubemap looks like it's still purple. Try making it Red.

EDIT: This skin does look slightly corrupted. Try applying it to a clean banshee file, then re-upload it.

Personally, I think it looks interesting. Although, from that screenshot, it looks like all you did was select an area, overlay black, and then sharpen it. You can see a hard sharpen > blur line where the black meets the purple. 6/10

yeah, I did shapen it because for some reason when I take screen shots with "prt scrn" button within the game, it comes out all dark and so I have to make it brighter. I just got the contast where you could see it better. Its as close as I could get to what is seen in the game. keep in mind its for a dark map so the pic was hard to get.

Yes I know the skins are not perfect, but what is seen in the dark is always more decieving, sneaky. And looks better. It is for a dark map.

heh. suuure.

Never use sharpen unless it's blurry, because right now it looks horribly pixelated.

i would never try to directly sharpen a blurry or pixelated image. do unsharp mask then sharpen.

I took 10 mins and fixed your skin for you or at least how I thought others like myself would like to see it. There is no download for it cause its based off your work. Im simply giving you a idea of what direction you may want to go to make it look better like people are suggesting to you.
