[mod] Valhalla Gulch

I had spare time so I created this cool mod. Its valhalla based off of Halo 3. It has weapons like MA5C Assault rifle, Smg etc etc. No sword if youre wondering. Anyway here's a pic. I plan on uploading while im sleeping as to avoid wastes.

Besides the weapons, I stuck in man cannons. Basically they will teleport you up, and then you will drop into another teleporter, which will take you up higher than the previous one. Then you will descend using the same process. Nice right? There are two per base. One at the head will take you to the sides, while the one at the arrow will take you to the main battle.

Note: Dont run into the cannon or you will miss the teleporter below you.
Credit to l33t for that nice h2 plasma rifle model, and nitrous for his moldy smg model.

Well since I was the first down loader, I noticed that you only included the .map file, but you need to make a ppf of the bitmaps also, because all i see right now is a Valhalla styled base,man cannons, those two models, trees put in, but i still see the old blood gulch bitmaps, so can you please include that in the download? Other than that I think it's pretty neat, 8.5/10. Also since I was using the shaders 1.1 version (put -use11 at the end of the halo target) the plasma rifle by l33t looks awesome.

i agree...i hate how bloodgulch looks. now that you made it grassy i like it :) good job.

Exactly why I want him to include the bitmaps in the download, although I think you could easily get those other bitmaps from other maps, such as danger canyon, or even a30 if you wanted, but I like the way he set up the bitmaps. I was going to do a mod or map skin similar to this, but I might not because he released this.

you should add the halo 3 laser...just make it the flamethower and change the model to the assault rifle. take away the fire effects and make it the sentinel laser and that would be awesome.

Did you just add trees and those teleporters? For the man -cannon you might want to make something that when you step on it it explodes, propelling you in the air?

I don't think that is possible in Halo. With vehicles yes, but not with your feet.

he could just add like 10 teleporters...the end of the tele is right ontop of a begining tele so you get the flying effect going accross the map...i might make my own vahalla mod :P

I did make those....

Anyway, I thought I used a Bloodgulch dependant bitmap, not a shared one. Aka the bloodgulch bitmap i replaced was in bloodgulch.map, not bitmaps.map. Also, when I attempted to create a bitmap ppf, the program crashed.

Ahh good, I found out that the bitmaps are accessed when bloodgulch.map is open, and are part of bitmaps.map.

The ppf for bitmaps is up. Sorry for the wait.

on my version i just teleport in the sky and fall im talking about being teleported about 10 times will you go up and down so you get the flying affect. instead of just bam and fall...bam bam bam bam up bam bam bam bam bam we are on the ground

Idk, try what works best. A few of the times i made the effect really nice. I dont think a quick teleport and drop will make it seem like you are flying. But building off ideas can only get better.

Anyway, I got the bitmaps.ppf for you guys, Ill have it up shortly.
