im glad to see you figured out how basic modding is accomplished. nice effects and stuff but now try to venture into other programs such as hht or spark edit to futher your modding experience.

if this is your first mod then, hey, cool. we all started somewhere. but i can only seriously give this a 2/10 on how basic it is due to the other content in these pages.

so what advice can i give you? search the tutorials section and look for ideas there. or maybe even look at some other mods in these pages and gather ideas from their also. reskinning things also helps to add to a mod project as well.

those are the people who are going to download your map...meta swaps were cool when modding started. Now the tools are improved so you can do much more like my POA mod

first of all, you were a noob once too, so chill. its a learning process. everyone has to make a few crappy mods at first so that they get comfortable with the tools, then they want to do more, and THEN they will learn more

everyone mods BG because it is an easy map to get around and also happens to be the most popular map, so more people will like it. just look at online MP, theres like 1000 BG servers.

the mod gets a 2/10 in my book, but that doesn't meen he wont get better!
try a PMI or two for the next mod, good luck and dont let the haters keep you down

how about "that mod looks ok, but instead of just projectile swaps, how about some modles or skins? Try milkshape or Wings for modelling" get the idea?

well, it IS just projectile swaps, but I do like the grenade explosions. What'd you do to the grenades?

A lot of mods are made of BG because it is the only map in the trial version, so people mod it, and then if they buy the game the just do BG first because its their favorite map, because they probably suck at the other ones because they havent played them as much.

I do like the explosion on that video of the plasma bomb nade, very nice.
