Hey guys, as you know, i've been trying to model guns lately, and this is my first attempt that took my 2 and a half hours, lol. I think it sucks (even for my first one) because I couldn't figure out how to make all the curves and stuff, so I had to make it entirely out of cubes

. If anyone could tell me how to do this also, it'd be great. And, if anyone wants to use this in a mod (yeah right) ask my permission plz. Here it is:

Its lacks alot of detail. Don't use wings 3d to model weapons. Use Gmax. Its a free modeling program that is much better than Wings 3d (unless your on a Mac then nevermind).

If your a game designer and make money off your games yeah, but if you bought it for casual modding then you wasted a LOT of money.

I doubt you bought as your grammer/spelling doesn't match the age you'd have to be to earn that kind of money.

I think he's just getting it confused with a different modeler, maybe he bought milkshape, $30 for milkshape is pretty good, or maybe he uses gmax?

I used Wings 3D and I am on a mac... *boohoo*. And yes, I know it lacks a LOT of detail, but then again:
1. First model
2. WINGS 3D...which sucks
3. I can't import it into Halo because Wings 3d doesn't work with it for some reason *hisss!!*
But, I thought that u guys would think it reeked, but awesome! And yeah, even if I had $4,000 to spend, I'd still need to buy a PC, then earn back $1,200 to get 3Ds Max, lol.

Lol, nice comeback. Anyway, I have Wings-3d, and I know it sucks, as it is the worst modeling program I've used. That doesn't mean much, but... You get the picture. Besides, Macs aren't really gaming computers, so the PC thing, don't get one of the cheapo ones if you do. Now, back to the model. Pretty good, if only you could import it... Communistic that Microsoft is, this is good, but try for milkshape. I don't know how much it is, but it's less than Max, and pretty good...

Fixed. Also, Milkshape isn't for OS X...quite probably, Wings3D is the only decent and free 3D modeler for OS X.

Replying to number 3, yes, I made my own tutorial on how to inject custom models(mac) and it works and has been verified by every user I have shown it to. I'll get a link when it's operatable again.

HaloDev works, it's just really slow.

we need someone to move this to the Mac section. The model looks ok for your first, learn to use Wing 3d tools better, not use new objects for everything(24 is a waste of polies) and something to consider, it is nice to post models already triangulated and positioned for the Halo engine, because some peaople don't have Wings to rotate
overall 6/10
