hey i'm new to all this including this forum, I Was wondering if you guys could take a look at this AI mod i made and give me some hints as to how to make it better. If you make alot of banshees in the game type then the AI will drive those and if you make alot of ghosts they will drive those but iether way thier actually pretty chanllenging. All the cliff mods are in the corners next to where the shot guns usually are in the bases if you have the regular equipment set up. one of the floating platforms can only be reached by a teleport on one of the cliffs and the stone one can be accesed by walking behind where the banshees usually are on top of the bases if you just walk in between the things sticking up then you'll end up there but you can only get down from the floating platforms by jumping (maybe thats something that i should change?). the weapons are moded because i think it's more fun and when i make my game i make it shield on and 400% health which makes the AI harder to beat.

Edit: if you downloaded it before i accidentally uploaded and old version of the mod so if you don't like it try it again you might like this version.

I will post screen shots when i can

Edit: in the update i took alot of bitmaps that i found on this site which i give props to everyone who made them because theyr'e awesome! I took out some powerfull object swaps to make it a sniper map when you turn off the banshees and the ghosts ( too bad tho because the banshees look awesome). I wish i knew how to mod the bitmap files so if anyone could tell me it would be great i have macromedia fireworks on one computer and photoshop on the other and niether will open the texture files that i find here or save from the game. also i don't know how to inject .obj files into my map with halo map tools. what other way is there to put a platform in the air except with spark edit? as i siad i'm new at this so if there anything else i should download to do a better job the please teell me.

here's the uh... eye candy... i hope it is lol

Edit: i took out the old pictures so i don't waste bandwidth on them

ok here's an update with some new skins and i took out the AI on this. the projectile swaps are gone except i made the pistol shoot sniper rounds because i wanted to be able to snipe with that also.

Image
a broken sniper rifle that still works but it doesn't look like it
Image
I really like this picture
Image
tiger scorpion skin
Image
one of the cyborg skins
Image
a skinned ghost
Image
another cyborg skin... look at the pistol because i made that skin myself so feedback on that is good to know
Image
ability to climb anything idk if i like it or not so i'm looking for some feedback on this especially

i am not keeping any of the skins that i didn't make and thanks to a reply to this i will be able to make my own with photoshop in the mean time i thank everyone who made these skins because they're great. i made a new skin for pistol allready and the only way i could figure out how to skin the sniper rifle was to inject the texture into something i don't use and then swap the regular skin with that, that is why it looks broken because when i tried injecting my own skin directly it corrupts the whole map so i will have to keep trying to get it right.

Post the pictures in the first post next time, and maybe resize them, they're huge.

Glad to see a member posting mods, but this would be better for the Halo PC section.

Indeed it needs a prefix...and you oughta resize those pictures (I made them links for now).

AI mods are always fun though...but try a different level, everyone does Blood Gulch.

:? remove those floating trees and rocks and it would be better.

and skin and model some stuff.

the weapons are over powered.

Yeah, it would be better if you made a mod, like a non-n00bish mod.

Proj Swaps are bad, along with sucky spark edits, and acid.

Try some new weapons, not just proj swaps, and don't spark edit stuff into lines. It's horrible.

Meh, It looks ok. It could use a little more work, maybe custom models or skins. 5/10.

hey! i think we have a future REALLY good modder here.
this is his first mod and havent seen him asking around like ZOMG MAKING A SNIPER SHOOT A TANKSHELL IS TEH UBERZORZ.no.I think he read the rules and the tutorials (which most of us didnt at first)i think that him asking what can he do to make it better is really smart.yes bloodgulch is overused so that will deduct alot of points.my first mod was a few proj swaps and a few hmt speed increases lol.but to make it better

It's not too bad for a first. Just please, if you're going to do proj swaps, do something rational that could make for a good weapon, like swap the AR proj for the shotgun proj, and slow down the AR's rate of fire.

Keep it rather balanced, but not so much that every single gun is the same.

Add models and skins next time, if you want, I could help.

Stay away from mass super weapons, it's rather disliked and repeditive.

keep all gametypes in mind when you make a mod.
