Insane is right, there is a slight gradient in the eyes of the original, but still, if you placed yours over top of the background of the original I would never be able to tell the difference.

Hold on, there is a way to do this simply. CaptainPoopface did something to this effect, but his credits show turk645 as the one to help him with the effects part. Try PM'ing Turk sometime.

Also, think about this, how many years have those elites been using these energy swords? They aren't idiots like you seem to think. Even one gold elite with an energy sword could kill a spartan, even if the spartan had an energy sword too.
