Re: Custom Xbox 360 Themes?

It only works with themes(pre-nxe themes) and gamerpictures so far. The 360 won't allow you to use, let's say a map pack, in a CON container format.

Re: Gamerpic modding

So...is the only way humanly possible to packet intercept? As far as we know, at least. I mean, there must be SOME way. I tried tricking the avatar editor and disconnecting after I'd already gotten into the screen to take a picture...it just backed me out. I was thinking I might actually take the p...

Re: Gamerpic modding

I don't have one, but it is called an Xbox Live Vision Cam, so I'm going to guess that you must also be connected to XBL to take it, so it can upload the picture to your account.

Re: Gamerpic modding

The avatar picture is uploaded to your xbox live account when you take it. That's the only time. When you set it, it will display the picture uploaded to your xbox live account, so there's no way to get a custom one like that.

Re: .XEX and .XEXP?

.xexp files are patches for the .xex files. Of course your are not going to open it in a hex editor and read it because xex files contain instructions for the 360.

JPEG's start with 0xFFD8...

Also, you can use an if statement to determine where it starts. There's a lot of places to make one.

Re: Halo 3 Retail Game Research

I'm 100% positive I read somewhere that when Bungie released the first title update that patched the screenshot function so that it would be harder for people to mod screenshots. What else would explain why I've got pre-title update 1 screenshots and post-TU1 screenshots that have 2 different style...

You won't see your film in the Halo 3 menu, and on the dashboard the film file will show as "Corrupt".

Re: Anybody want to...

It's just not going to happen, pal. But I will give you the hypothetical steps if you feel up to trying. 1) Buy an $800 dev kit. 2) Somehow get "in," with the "cool group," so that they give you all their materials and applications. (alternatively, do the research yourself). 3) ...

Re: Halo 3 map selection problem

Strangely enough, when I go to custom game, the maps are missing. I tried downloading again, and what happens is, the download starts, and then 3 seconds later, it says download complete. I will now try and delete the maps off of my hard drive and then download again. It's supposed to happen like t...

Re: Understanding LIVE/PIRS/CON files, need help

So these hash tables can be inserted right in the middle of the content? Like I might have something like content content content hash content content content hash etc.? I'll look for them and get back to you. Edit: I want to clarify here, all I have to do is navigate to 0xB8000 and delete the next...

HaLo2FrEeEk wrote:Where do I look for them?
Besides the first hash table, the other tables begin at 0xB8000/0xB9000 (two blocks of 0x1000 bytes, either can be used) and from there on, every 0xAC000 there is another.
