you don't have to make it super-detailed thru the geometry, you can make super-detailed skins and it'll be the same. the lower the polys, the easier it is to skin. although it will take you a long time to produce the textures that will be skinned to all the buildings unless you're really good at gra...

you can't edit the existing levels without hex editing them since the original files don't come with the HEK. as far as i'm aware, sapien only opens *.scenario files so *.map files and replacing items on existing levels are either hard to do or out of the question. as for creating your own levels, y...

can somebody explain how to put different sounds in different areas of the map? example... an ocean sound when you're outside of the base and mechanical sounds while inside the base. i found sound_scenery but the range is limited when i put it in the map and i'm not sure how to increase it's range.

yes but the model is standing up by default... i need the model in the "dead" position. i also tried a dead biped but that just disappears after like 20 secs. if anybody knows how to keep a dead biped from disappearing... that would be sweet!

1. create a tiff with an alpha channel
2. compile it into a *.bitmap
3. create a new *.weapon_hud_interface to so it uses your reticle

a lot of tweaking will be required so it'll be good to compare it to other weapon huds.

i tried that before and i also had the +weatherpoly plane as well... it never worked and although tool compiled it, it crashed halo itself. don't exactly know what went wrong.

hi all

i made a weapon modification and i wanted to change the hud imagery at the top left specifically what type of ammo it has. does anybody know how i can make my own tif for it and have it show correctly as the ammo goes down and all?

unless i'm mistaken, the glass won't respawn into the level so once it's broken, there's no way to get to the flag. i thought up the bridge idea so it's impossible to get the flag yourself, you need a teammate to turn on the bridge in order for you to get it.

I did read the HEK tut and it wasn't mentioned so I figured I'd try asking ppl. I was gonna have it so that if you catch somebody taking the flag, you can just turn off the bridge they're on a save a few bullets heh... ohh well. Thanx for the disappointing news though :(
