What kind of lighting do you use for that abstract? I can never make mine look quite as smooth and almost ceramic looking as that.

Yeah, i really had no idea what i was doing when i made it.

I was just adding stuff randomly, and then i got alittle high, and added alot more.

And it just popped out like this.

I made it to be a background for my youtube page. So i wanted there to be a big extra space on the bottom.

Eh, it's a piece of work for sure. Has a lot of depth, but lacks a ton of symmetry and focal sections. Objects coming out where they shouldn't, shading darker/brighter than it should be, random brushing casting shadows, and highly aliased borders are really the main problems. Something is messed up with one of the hands. But it still looks pretty nice.

Alright, I followed the tutorial alittle and got confused in a few parts. Everything. Detail. Color change. Specular. Bump. Reflection. Self illumination/scene lighting. Yeah, basically everything. You need an entire material, not just a diffuse map. Ye.. I figured I created pretty much the roughest render possible. Could you link me to a tutorial that might help me out?

Alright, I got banned from H3F so I decided to get back to learning 3ds max. Here is what I got just barely remembering a tutorial I read a few months back.
