I think that it would only come down after being hit with explosives. If you could destroy it in Crow's Nest, then it would be with grenades. That would seem pretty hard to do, though.

You might have better luck shooting the front engines.

What about the back antigrav units on the front, or the front antigrav units on the back?

You're trying to have your cake and eat it too. This has nothing to do with cake, you jerk. I was giving a constructive idea that would only reinforce your ability to delete & lock threads. And STOP saying that my replies are irrelevant, THEY ARE NOT. It was an idea, one that you don't actually...

Then it would be annoying every time you post. Umm... no, it wouldn't be (if you code & design it reasonably). It could be like facebook, where the rules would be in a box that would start out minimized when the page opened, and would expand if the user clicked on it. You do not have to shoot t...

Unnecessary clutter on the posting page. If people don't follow the rules, they are at fault and they will accept the consequences. But... they aren't... they're complaining. If you could look at this objectively while listening to a small fraction of the sarcasm that you constantly dish out at nea...

I was emphasizing why there wasn't really a need for you to post your reply, as it had already been covered.

It's already very clear to everyone that the rules should be read before posting. I believe it is mentioned when a user registers, and the Rules section has READ FIRST in bold print in the title. Users are left with no excuse. No, you [moderators] have no reason to apply such a minimal suggestion (...

Rules & Regulations Summary when posting topics

I've noticed (through only the few topics I've looked through here, mind you) that there are usually problems stemming from people not knowing the rules. What if there was a summary of these rules in the top of the topic posting page (I'm not exactly sure what its called). For one, people would be r...

I'm not too familiar with 3ds Max, but couldn't you apply some kind of smoothing... subdivision... thing... around the joints, so that his knees look less sharp & geometricish? Tried it. Mind the line. Had to stop it early to model something. http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/3719/headshotzc0.j...

The sniper doesnt have a bone. The IK is for the legs, arms, and spine. Don't upload images to HM. I'm saying that you add it manually for realism. And you could add one for the rifle as a whole, so that it would be aligned to whatever target you want. And what was with the "don't upload image...

You would have a completely rigid bone that would tell the IK system to include the sniper rifle's position in regards to the shoulder. Don't actually let the new bone be linked to any actual mesh, just the IK system.

instead of using a RGB tint or w/e you're using, use a falloff map. put the first set into the bottom slot and the second set into the top slot of the falloff. Erm... I'm not actually using 3ds Max. I'm using blender. A falloff map is a gradient in the Z normal (more intense around the edges, less ...

Alright, I think that I found the RGB values, but there are 8 of them. I believe that are split up by each banshee permutation, so 4 for the default and 4 for the heretic. Past that, the 4 are split up into 2 for each color channel in the color change image. Now, if these are the right values, then ...

What would you have me do? Seriously, I just want to get this done. I don't want to be annoying with this, but I have no idea what I have to do. I don't know about anyone else, but I liked the fully reflective visor from the first E3 trailer.

By the way, does anybody have any suggestions about my banshee renders? Am I using the right RGB values? Because I could have sworn that the cab should have been a dark shade of magenta.

But those are under the BIPD tag, and the banshee isn't.

Just to illustrate what I'm talking about, here's a few banshees with a purple permutation, no permutation, and a randomly colored permutation. For the purple one, I used some values I found under the vehi tag, but I'm not entirely sure they're correct. Understand that this is not high quality, just...

Nope, the normal one. If you look, you'll see that the texture isn't purple, and you'll have to apply the color change texture the way you would with spartan & elite permutations. I can do that, but I don't know the exact shades of purple or where to find them. I think that Halo uses additive ma...

I think that Halo uses additive materials for those lights. Also, an "I don't know" would be more helpful than any of the one replies that I've gotten about the banshee color change rgb values. I mean, has no one actually encountered this issue? Has no one noticed this about the Banshee? T...
