XwitX no, that is really inefficient. Plus you'll get the bad sbsp dependcency messing everything up.

Tutorial is in Turorial Submissions in files.halomods.com

Anyways, I'd like an Energy Sword FP model and some other stuff if anyone wishes to contribute. I'm starting the mod on saturday, so give me something... please.

Check out the tut. in files.

Brief overview:
Run the bsp through the decrapper with PMI
Use said BSP to replace the main BSP meta
Change the scenario, bsp and ui references so that the solo level and the solo interface are referenced

No.
For starters, it wouldn't even try to load it as the headers are different, and even then, the zoning methods and multiple bsps make MultiPlayer 0Player.

A request, if I may:

I'm about to do an SP modding pack, simply labeled SP Remixed, quite possibly with a logo of some sort. Now, I'm not a modeler or a skinner so I was wondering if anyone would wish to contribute their models or skins for use in said pack. I will be doing ALL of the modding on all of the maps unless s...

You don't select the verts and indices when you rebuild. You just select the mod2 in the decrapper and add its weapon meta when you rebuild. Standard PMI fare. Should I like, do a video tutorial?

I'm referring to a competition where people would judge you. I'm well aware that a crappy mod can be horrendously fun (Remembering the offset swapping days...), but these mods should really stand out from the pack. Unless there is an offset swapping theme one week. Anyways, I'm working on the first ...

Rebuild with the tutorial in files. It works with anything that can be fully batch extracted (Hint: b40 == evil)

Maybe I should make the finalists write a summary (Not a tutorial) of what they had to do. So people could learn from them.

Cool. I see it as a way for n00bs to get in on the action too, though the big modders won't be disqualified, some of the n00bs will have a chance.

True, but these would be theme mods, which would put people under limitations and, hopefully, bring out creativity.

Modding competition anyone?

A Halo modding competion would, in my opinion be cool. I figure it could happen at a regular interval and go something like this: -Thread started up with the theme\restrictions, people make mods. -A panel of judges cuts through the crap and gives a final list of mods to be voted on which is agreed t...
