Re: Waterguns

as awesome as it would be to use one of those monsters, it would honestly be easier to just get a puny squirt gun from a dollar store, so you can stealthily take out your target.

Re: Security

I agree with grimdoomer, the demand for an altered/cracked version of your program is probably so low that it isn't worth worrying about. I don't know of any protection methods myself, but assuming the program takes a hash/checksum of it's own code, it wouldn't be too hard to take a peek/debug at ho...

from skimming over the about page briefly, i'm not interested. All they mentioned in the about page was general "our browser is awesome" marketing speak. I'd be more interested in a ridiculously lightweight browser than the next big shiny one.

Canada.. Why the hell would schools close at 2 inches or 4 inches.. That's retarded, it doesn't stop anything from happening, any artard could still drive through it as if it wasn't there, etc etc. =| in Tennessee we got out for forecasts :D also, given how many people suck shit at driving normally...

scout update

http://www.teamfortress.com/scoutupdate/ surprised there hasn't been a topic yet. anyways, the scout update was just released, and it's a blast. new items are the force-a-nature shotgun, the bonk energy drink, and a new bat. of course, this next everybody will play scout to get their achievements, s...

I don't have much experience, but my brother has an R4 as well. I'd say try to reload the kernel onto whatever flash card you're using, or use another flash card. I'd like to help more, but I don't have a flash cart myself, and haven't had to deal with any problems with it.

dropping in here to say I just scored two computers from my neighbors. They were throwing them away, so I nabbed 'em, and brought 'em inside. The one is a dell optiplex gx270, which i've seen in every school i've been in. i'm fairly sure the motherboard is fried though, because when I power it on th...

sounds like a refresh rate problem. also, you should try using a different monitor and see if the problem persists.

Re: Dreams and Reality

it was a dream, nothing more. your nose started bleeding in the night (it's happened to all of us at least once), and you sensed it because of the blood on your face and sheets. Because you were dreaming, your brain perceived the sensation of a bloody nose as part of the dream, so it showed up in yo...

besides, it is always nice to have some reassurance that the tool you're about to use on your expensive gadget won't adversely affect it.

didn't watch the superbowl here. oh well. anyways, I've got my laptop up and running again. the HDD failed earlier, so I had to buy a new one. got it installed, and installed slackware 12.2 without a hitch. after that, I set up fluxbox to my liking, and installed the conky system monitor. all that's...

yes. this is the day that google died. http://tech.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid ... 31/1457221

but don't worry, it's been fixed now. It was apparently some issue with whatever method google used to detect malware/bad things.

Re: The Official Post Your Set Up Thread

Looks like you need a new laptop. I thought I'd just get an aspire one/eee, but the hard drive was cheaper (the previous hard drive failed :/) anyways, the slackware install is done, so now I've just got to configure things. I've got my old fluxbox theme I saved, so I'll put that on, then I'll inst...

Re: CPU Specs Survey

I run old-ish hardware, and all my processors are single core. I think my desktop one has hyperthreading, but I haven't really looked into it that much.

Desktop: 2Ghz (AMD 3200+)
laptop: 1.2Ghz (AMD Athlon XP)
server: 1.993 Ghz (Intel P4)
ipod: 400Mhz (ARM11)
