Hey, I learned how to hex edit to swap projectiles etc. I want to change the hud messages now... Do I edit the cache file still? I searched for "killed" in the cahce but that turned up nothing... any help would be appreciated.

I thought we were looking for a program to do the opposite of that... why would you want to change a halo ce to a halo pc?

Sure it's the tutorial level, but no HUD, working holo panels, and beam emitter makes mine stand out a little. The theme for my map is Humans VS Covenant.

Should probably add the "show" commands in there too. "show_hud 0" takes the hud away totally. This command along with "cheat_all_weapons" and picking up the grav rifle allows for completely getting rid of the hud.

I thought there was an option somewhere where it created mipmaps from the big one you edited... isn't there an option for that in PS? I could've sworn...

so i can't just save the map on my pc and the open it? Wow, 400+ posts and you don't know the answer to that question. For the Xbox, you have to play the map to decompress it, then FTP the cache003.map, or cache004.map from the X, Y, or Z(varies from xbox to xbox I believe, mine is X) drive on your...

Just wondering what you guys do to keep from FTPing back and forth from your computer and xbox each time you want to change mods. I've just started hacking Halo for the box (have previous experience on PC) and want to show my friends a bunch of the stuff, but won't have my comp available at the LAN ...

Ummm, you need to play the map you want to mod, then FTP the cache file to your puter, then open it in HMT.
