No Halo PC, Do you know how to?

have created several maps with Gmax by following a tutorial but it only got far enough to tell me how model the map and it didn't tell me how to turn it into a halo map (.map) file. I am also wondering how to add detail to the modeled map (such as water, vehicles, ground, bitmaps,ect.). PLEASE HELP ...
