You could, I think, if you hex-edited the beginning string of a .map file so the game thought it was a map other than blood gulch. A search on the forums should tell you how to do that.

Are there any differences between a regular HaloPC BSP and a Halo:PC-CE BSP? I know they rewrote portions of the map structure for CE... probably a hex editor like HexCmp could compare the two and find out.

Has anyone considered just changing the force of the grenade explosion damage using HMT 3? It works just as well. :)

Yeah, I can't open the "Scenario" option for Xbox SP maps. Oh, well. It's still cool.

Oh, Barber, I hope you die painfully.

Great job on this plugin, tjc. Keep up the good work.

Change a scenery object's tag from "scen/obje/yyyy" to "vehi/unit/obje", and then use the meta swap. Then click save.

Have you modded or hacked your Xbox yet? You have to have done that first. You can find more info over at www.xbox-scene.com, especially in the "tutorials" section.

Making new maps for Halo is like trying to make the same kind of cookie as someone else without a recipe. You have to get it exactly right, or Halo won't "eat" your cookie. Until someone figures out the "recipe", new maps won't be happening.

I know where you're coming from, but it's actually a good thing, because it can help to reduce lag and prevent lots of motion exploits. Maybe Gearbox will make a "walk" command available in a future update, though.

You shouldn't need to update to 1.02 first... at least, not if you got the update in-game or off Bungie's website. However, if you did get a 1.02-1.03 patch somehow, and Halo PC doesn't check to make sure it's the right kind of update (which seems unlikely) then you can always try a fresh reinstall....

I'll stay away from an in-depth discussion of modding an Xbox, but you can do it without a modchip. Go to xbox-scene.com and look up the tutorials section. It's what Nuvakaita was saying. Anyway, to stay on-topic, this won't be possible even when the SDK is out. Or rather, it is possible, but it wou...
