Well, repeating sound is often caused by: 1) A driver you have is currently corrupted. 1 a) Uninstall the Driver and Reinstall the drivers for your sound/vid/motherboard 2) Some Halo files have been corrupted 2 a) Reinstall Halo 3) Your HD is fragmented. ->Defrag 4) A required file is missing from y...

Well, there were a few experimentations that I used back in the day with old log modding. By manipulation of the plane normals, as I believe I described in some forum threads a long time ago. You can produce a 'bouncing' or throwing effect which would not 'hurt' vehicles. Mind you if MC stepped onto...

Well if you read the readme.rtf file I believe it gives options to run the game in backwards compatible modes. That avoid certain higher direct X interface usages. ie: -useFF -use14 etc.. But if you're card is fundamentally lacking in DirectX Support, then I'm afraid you might have to go find some h...

I see most of you are trying to find some co-relation as to why this 'virus' otherwise known as The Operator has chosen the ilovebees.com site to manifest itself in. In truth, I don't believe there is any correlation. Its a 'coincidence'. As to what is happening, that should be fairly clear by now. ...

Well first off, why in god's name would you want to 'edit' the BSP?
Unless of course you're attempting to do some kind of XBOX or perhaps MAC program.

In any event it is far more time/effort efficient to simply find a way to use the HEK's BSP generating capabilities and convert it's output.

It isn't damaged by explosives? Hmm.
Curious.
From my ye olde experimentations, explosives were the only thing that made scenery go boom. But then the manner in which I did it must have been crude by CE standards.

Interesting.
What have you been able to do, in detail really? Shatterable stuff... etc?

Due to the nature of the BSP creation you need to create a Sphere constructed of many triangles. Such spheres often appear as giant disco balls, having squares lining up to create the shape. In order to achieve such a sphere there are various functions in D3D or OpenGL that create them automatically...

Indeed it does make collision models. Though I will still make Engineer for the purpose of rapidly being able to put a vehicle or new biped model together. Mount points, firing points and all. Doing all that tag editing manually is slow and hard to visualize. So Engineer won't be as ground-breaking ...

Berkano, Leaving for a while

Hey people, Well recently I've been on the run trying to find a job. But due to my current location in Canada that is a very difficult task for someone in my field of expertise. So I've got to leave the community for a while, might be 2 weeks, might be a month. Sadly this also means Engineer is on i...

(Halo 1)Collision Model Plugin V.1.2

Hey people,

I've been getting some requests for a little more functionality out of my plugin, and I decided to release my current version.

Do read the COLREADME.txt file. It will help you understand what's going on.

It requires map rebuilding so unless someone figured xbox rebuilding while my back was turned, its gonna be a PC thing.

Well, granted its not particularly impressive in itself. I'm just flexing my collision-model-muscle so to speak. 1) The shattering effect is known as the 'wraith burning' effect. When placed on a damage trigger, well.. that happens. Its a cute novelty but kinda goofy, its just an easily seen effect ...

Meaning that the vehicle is indeed dead.
