ok.....i am a total n00b 2 modding...how do i connect my comp 2 my xbox 2 get the mods?????

i just read a post sayin u can get a mod that lets u play as grunts and hunters and brutes etc....wat do i do 2 get the mod (do i need action replay or extra cables or sumthin if so can i get a price?) and i also have xbl...if i go into a matchmade game would i get banned? or put the mod on and off ...
