how do im change a .ppf into a .map?

I cant get some of the maps t work because the end with .ppf and i tryed changing the name to .map but it still didn't work. Does anyone have any advise?

thank you! and by the way i cant get my halo mod thing to work.. it says this number times another number and it says something wierd... can you tell me qwhats wrong?

Help me! How to change ppf to map!

Please! I did all the stuff but everytime im in Halo and I click on the map it makes a wierd sound and it sounds like bing bing
Help please.

Ps: It's only the map with the mod that makes the noise
