In all likelihood, no. The easiest way to play halo 2 mods on the original xbox is to copy the game to the harddrive, make another copy of the map you would like to alter on your pc via ftp. Make any alterations you would like to the map and then ftp it back over to the xbox. You certainly can make ...

I've just started trying to mod Halo 2 on the 360 You cannot ftp to your 360. I highly doubt you have an ftp server running on your 360 if you need to ask questions about connecting to it here. That's not an insult btw, it's not something many people can accomplish at the moment. :) If you see peop...

Well, from Soldier of Lite's list, there is one that looks interesting: [045](void damage_players) Possibly a negative value would increase the players health? However, I've still no idea how to use this. If you could help me, it would be greatly appreciated :D [One of the things I would like to do ...

I'm not sure if Live - Anywhere is one of the names being used. But read this: http://www.destructoid.com/microsoft-set-to-start-games-for-windows-live-beta-testing-30101.phtml Halo 2 Vista is supposed to be running it's online services via this. From the sounds of it. H2 Vista users will be able to...

For clarification, I mean that when a player enters a certain area, they gain/lose health, or ammo. Or when X event occurs they gain/lose health/ammo, etc. I will look around in SP maps to see what I can find and will share any progress. There seems to be very little descriptive information around t...

Scripting With Player Health, Etc
So, I'm getting back into modding and scripts seem to have the most potential for interesting effects.
Anyways, how would I go about writing a script that would give the current player more ammo or health on X event, etc? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That was meant in reference to the general public, not the modding community. If microsoft wants people to keep playing halo 2, they're going to need something more. Which is evidently why they're releasing the new maps shortly. Now, if they want it to be kept alive after H3's released, they're goin...

Considering Halo 2 vista will be running on live, it may very well mean that M$ is going to allow user created content on live. They certainly could set it up to allow user created content on H2 xbox as well. maybe for vista, but for xbox it will never happen because that would mean that they suppo...

@Detox Well, I said I knew nothing of the process, and that is true =) But i'm glad you guys do! :D If you do get it working, do you think you'll release a tutorial describing the process, or just do it youself and receive a great deal of fame? Hehe, I wouldn't blame you if you did. Just so long as ...

Well... after toying with entity, I do know that getting the collision of halo 1 maps [via their ce counterparts] is already possible. The bsp's collision can be extracted to .obj and then injected into whatever map you want, and it does work. The model itself though, while it can be extracted into ...

Halo1 mp Maps to H2
Is there any way to convert halo 1 mp maps to halo 2? I'm not sure what the differences are between the format of the bsps, but if anyone could share any information, it would be greatly appreciated. Entity is capable of extracting the bsps and bsp collision models from the ce renditions of the maps...
