ok first, to skin you dont open the map in photoshop. You use dothalo or another map editor to extract and inject the bitmaps. they are in *.dds form. so you will need the plugin for it. go onto google and search for the nVidia dds tools. also search for the photoshop CS2 trial, and download that. g...

yes, insolence changes the maps so that they are not system link compatible. that is why you are having problems. its not the xboxes.

i am taking that you have a modchip or softmod of some sort...delete the automatic update, then re-copy halo 2 from the disc to your hard drive. that should fix it, and if not please clearify the first-post, i tried to get as much as i could out of it, sorry if i didnt help any, please post again if...

no calculaters dont have a "mini-hard drive." They have a flash chip.

make sure that if the x and y coorinates are negative you put them in as negative, and same as positive, make sure everything is right.

yeah, you probably only cleared the x,y,and z drives, when e:/cache was the key.

make a "uvw map," then do a "unwrap uvw" and select and move the points in the unwrapping window to the shap you would like.

yes, do the same process as above, just rotate all the points instead of moving them(dont know if that is the easiest, but it works.)
