sum modeling programs(like Wings) add indices when u change something

so im thinkin about buyin milkshape; its the cheapest thing to buy...

srry how do u stretch the vertices with wings? Whenever i change somumthin wit the vertices it wont import to HMT.... i moved 1 vertice out a little bit but then when i imported it said "Error: Can't Inject. Indice Problem. Maximum indices allowed for this model: 2543 Your model has: 4078"...

my screen can only run on 1024 x 768 or 640 x 480 and ive fixed this before by switching to the old computer screen and changing the resolution on halo and then switching back to my tv screen but is there an easier way to do this cuz im really lazy ive tried going to properties and changing it there...
