No dds does not come up in the pulldown menu.

n00b question (sry)

I am a n00b (and it sucks) so sorry in advance. Ok, i got the dds plugin but I still can't open the .dds files. I even put it in the plugins folder and everything. I have photoshop 5.0, can anybody tell me what to do (sorry for the stupid question, plz don't flame me!) :cry:

Anyone know whats up with http://forge.halomods.com/ , if I go there to get the hex list either the page can not be displayed or I cant do anything anyway. I'm really ne to hex editing and I need the list, anyone know whats up? Can someone get me the list for me? :?:
