Just curious, but would it be possible to...

build your own map from scratch?

I mean, I've seen some nice new maps out there and bieng created, and I was just wondering if you could like extract all the metadata from a different map, place it somewhere, and then when you're done, merge it all in to one big .map file?

I see how some people...

use only hmt, or use only sparkedit, or only hex editors in their mods. in my opinion, truly great mods are born from combinations of uses between these 3 modding methods. for example... say you wanted to make it so that Foehammer drops off a pelican that you can fly in Silent Cartographer. in Hmt.....

what I meant was that max adds indices just about everytime you move a vertice...

you have to have photoshop or fireworks.
