you need chimp 1.6 to export, there is no .jms exporter for gmax. after you export it with chimp, you need to grab the listener window with grablistener BEFORE you close gmax. after that you can compile.

$7000? where do you get that!
The Autodesk suggested retail price for 3ds Max 9 software is US $3,495.
I got 3ds max 8 for only $600 for the educational version *actual price was $3000*

OK, where is it possible to get beta testers? I would really like to test out how my map is on balance and whatnot. There are very few things that are left for me to do. Currently I am doing a semi-quality lightmap *down to 0.1* and it will be done Monday or so. I now have a Broadband connection and...

WOW! That looks so awsome. Nay, greater than awsome, spectacular. NO! It's so great in it's beauty that there is no other word than one word that could describe this map, GOSU!

Oh, I hope that you are constantly backing up the map, it would be a tragedy if you lost it.

it seems that you had filled up the database. As it reads, you put too many AI into the map, and thusly halo could not keep track and the few too many AI caused the exception. How many AI did you put onto the map?

I believe that creating h2pc for vista is a very smart thing. first of all vista comes with DirectX 10, second halo2pc will most likely use pieces of the os to it's advantage *think about it, having a server or friends list on the side pane*. Thirdly look how old xp is, look how short of a time span...

hm, what type of game type were you loading? certain game types cause exceptions if you don't have the netgame flags set up for it. like ctf with the flag spawns. what explicit alpha means that the bitmap tag is using the alpha channel from the tiff file, but color-key tansparency jsut uses colors *...

If you are wondering what the map is, I will tell you a little bit now. General mood: sandy, at dusk, sand, dust in the air, sand, rocks, sand. Size: medium Layout: Two bases opposing each other, tower at middle. A human Pelican crashed on one side, a temple at the other. All this within a canyon wi...

jsut to warn you though, as you add more geometry, increace the size of your level, and add more lights; the longer radiosity will take. for example my map *sandstorm* takes up to 8 hours to do radiosity, not the quality radiosity mind you.

To just tell everyone:

If for some odd reason blitzkrieg does not export while you have Unwrap uvws, you must first collapse them so that they become permenently attached to the model, or at least untill you redo the unwrap.

well, after you do the radiosity_start and it reaches 3x 0.000000, then you need to type in radiosity_save ** ` then radiosity_save **under the console. that will save the lightmap.

also: you can stop and save radiosity any time by saving it.
