How do i change .RAR files to .MAP files?

i downloaded a CE map and it is in the form of castel2castel.rar...i need it to be castel2castel.map...how do i do that...or even better, how can i download a map and get it to work on Custom edition?> :?:

How do i get maps to work on CE?

im new here but i want to know how to download a map (say castel2castel) and be able to use in in custom edition...? can any1 help me? and some of you may know me from pbnation.com as akward silence...well im the same person.. :D thanx
