So...

Could we potentially play new maps and mods over LIVE without a modchip even?

I mean, in theory, if we figure out how to use the updater, we can download custom maps and such, heck, maybe even edit the UI and background music, stuff like that....

from what i believe about halo 2 if most of that is possible (witch im not sure if it is). then it will take a lot of work and a pretty good understanding of the semi new structure of the .map files. I was noticing looking though files on Halo 2 (on someone else's PC), that it uses the same .map files, etc, etc. Basically, all I'm wondering, is if this is gonna make modding Halo easier or not? Can anyone help me out?

I followed this tutorial exactly, but when I tried to inject the correct bitmaps and then shaders, when I try to play the level on Halo, it hangs while loading.......

What am I doing wrong?

Well, I even added all of the shaders, coll, bitmaps, etc in with XInject. THe tree stilll looks like absolute crap.... What am I supposed to do? Putting a Large Pine Tree from level (Halo) into Blood Gulch

I tried using HMI to take a Large Pine Tree from the level Halo and replace the Scorpion tank on Blood Gulch with it. When I actually go into the game to play, the model looks like absolute crap. Please help. I've tried using some of the tutorials for "injecting the perfect" model, but HHT...
