there are plenty of free things out there that do what you want, photo shop isnt the only one you know.

i think Sotori Photo XL works similar (dramattically reduced) to photo shop...I dunno, do a search or something.

I think Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8.1 is cheaper than Photo Shop...

You THINK it's cheaper? Lmfao, it's alot cheaper. Dude, if your not wanting a graphics editor to do any major work, just get Photoshop Elements. It's like $60 at Wal-Mart. It's a stripped down version of Photoshop, but if all you're wanting it for is skinning, it should be more than enough.
Photoshop will cost you arround $700
PaintShop Pro will cost you arround $200
Photoshop Elements is about $60

There are also GIMP, Sotori PhotoXL, Ulead something other, and like 50 others, lol.
