Insertion Pod and pelican rocket pod?

I was looking at the vehicles in a SP map and i found these, what are they?

insertion pod is either those things that drop weapons, or those things elites come out off. The rockets is just what it says.

They're rocket pods, that shoot rocket.

The rocket pods are actually pod like things that hang from the pelican wings. You can see them at the end the single player level metropolis. When the pelicans are firing the pelican rockets at the scarab at the end when you board the scarb. It fires from the rocket pods. The Drop pods are the little weapon tubes that are droped in single player. Not Elite pods...
