Rate that fast food topic.

Post by x088x »

I know this seems like a strange topic, and that's because it is. I'm bored, so I decided to make a topic to rate fast food. Let me say that I do not eat fast food often. Maybe 3-4 times a month. You know how they make it look sooo good in the commercials, but sometimes it tastes like hot armpit? Well, here's where to find out if something is good or bad. I guess just give the name of it, a quick description, and your rating.

Burker King's Spicy Tendercrisp:
Man, this thing was great. A little bit pricey with the combo being around 6 dollars, but it was worth every penny. This thing is so satisfyingly crispy, with a great kick to it. It's not just spicy, but it has my favorite spicy flavor: cayanne. Just as well, this thing is incredibly filling.

My rating: 8/10; because it's a little pricey.

Jack in the Box's Steak and Cheddar Ciabatta:
Let me start by saying I am not a huge fan of fast food burgers. This thing is by far the best one I have ever had. The steak tastes so much better than the meat from the average JITB burger. Cheddar and steak make an excellent combination. However, there is too much bread, and about 15 minutes after eating this, I felt VERY sick to my stomach.

My rating: 6/10; very tasty, but the aftereffects were not so pleasant.

KFC's Boneless Buffalo Wings

These things looked so good in the commercials, I just had to have them. Nobody can deny how great they look. But, as I found out, how they taste is a whole different story. When I got them, the first thing I noticed was that there was WAY too much sauce. The sight of all of it was almost nausiating. When I bit into it, I was very disappointed with the flavor. Unlike most other buffalo sauce, it was not made from cayanne peppers. This tasted more like Catalina dressing with Tobasco in it. Yuck. I tried to finish them, but I only managed 3 out of 6 before I felt like I was going to pop.

My rating: 3/10; do not even bother.

McDonalds BLT club sandwich (Crispy):

An excellent sandwich if I may say so myself. It's a tad on the pricey side (around $3.00-4.00) but it makes up for that in taste. It's crispy chicken (available in grilled also) and I personally like that much more than a hamburger. Perfect amounts of lettuce and bacon and mayo. Tomatoes are a waste, they taste like shit. I normally like tomatoes. However, after eating 3/4ths of the sandwich the after taste-taste starts to get annoying and when I'm done with the sandwich I don't want to eat anymore.
7/10 for great taste, but it's a little pricey and the aftertaste gets annoying.

McDonalds McChicken
The McChicken is basically the weaker counterpart of the above sandwich. It doesn't have bacon or anything, and there's a lot less meat in there. It's also not as crispy. But, the good thing is that it is quite a bit cheaper. My store has it for $1.50 (as is everything on the "dollar" menu here... wow, smart.) but I believe it's on the real dollar menu in most other places
7/10 for not quite as good taste, but the lack of aftertaste and a more affordable price makes it supreme.

Thanks, guys, keep em' coming. :)

JITB Large Chocolate Milkshake
Man, this thing is RICH. It is so flavorful, you will find yourself wanting a large. Unfortunately, you'll probably find out that when you finish it, you will feel VERY bloated. I recommend sitting for a while, because if you do anything more than walk after one of these monsters, you won't be feeling very hot. However, this is by far my favorite milkshake of any fast food restaurants (excluding frosties).

My rating: 6.5/10. Don't order the large. It's too much and has an incredible amount of calories.

Taco bell is very good, but to add to the list...
Arby's Jamocha Shake
Very high in flavor. An execelent chioce for any traveler who wishes to buy himself/herself a delicous milkshake. Although the precise taste may vary by resturant it always has a very distinct taste consisting of a coffee with a light taste of chocolate. A bit pricy though.
My rating, 9/10.
