skins wont show

i use photoshop and reskin som eof my vehicles. I apply the bitmap to the map, like any other skin job, but when i play the game, the skins are back to the original. why wont the paintjobs show?

Do they not show at all? Or are they showing up, but appearing black when seen at a distance?
