CTF/Assault Hybrid
CTF/Assault Hybrid
I just had an idea for a new gametype. What if/would it be possible to combine assault and ctf? You could make them both one sided. One team could be trying to defend their base from the enemy planting a bomb, while at the same time trying to capture the enemy's flag. This way both sides are on offense and defence, but have different objectives. Obviously there'd be some balancing issues since assault would be a one way trip while capturing the flag is a round trip, but it could be worked out by spawning stronger weapons on one side or something. Or perhaps the bomb marker could show up even when it's being carried.
interesting but not possible least not at the moment ud hav 2 edit the scripts ect 2 do it

There would have to be some advantages for the defending... um the team that's trying to capture. Long bomb timer. Make the bomb guy slower or something. Rig the bomb marker to show up even when it gets picked up? That last one would kind of suck.
Yeah, there'd be balance issues, but since it's unlikely to even be possible, I guess it doesn't matter. Maybe give the flag capture team a couple mounted turrets or start them off with the better weapons or something.
