i just want to know what opens it and where to get that at (the thing that opens those kind of files) so can anyone help me out?

DDS files are bitmaps usable in 3d Studio Max.

Run a google search for a DDS plugin for photoshop if you wish to edit them.

o i just use anyimage to convert them to bitmaps, then convert them back when im done.
