need some help with effects and skinnging

Hey
Im new in the modding world i need more help. My first project is reskining Ascension and modding the weapons and effects and a few other things. right now im trying to figure out how to change the color of the teleportal and find out how to make the lighting in the whole map darker.i was also wondering if some one knows how to change the color of the numbers on the battlerifles ammo display

i was also wondering if someone could give me a link to a working tutorial on how to replace the banshee with a working pelican. i followd one but the result was faliure
